Djembe

This unit of work is written for upper KS2 pupils, but it can be used for any group in KS2 or KS3, and adapted according to students’ ability level and progress. The whole scheme, including the learning objectives for each lesson, is for guidance only and will need to be adapted as necessary. Whatever age group, students should be encouraged to be accurate with their playing, to be creative and most of all – to enjoy themselves! All the interactive resources are based on material from Andy Gleadhill’s African Drumming, available with full scores and CD from Charanga.
