English sacred music of the late Middle Ages from Amon Ra album 'Worcester Fragments' performed by The Orlando Consort (1'32") (1'37") Main features: early church music, ostinato, drone. These two extracts are sung by unaccompanied male voices. The Track Explorer has four learning tracks focusing on the titles of the extracts, vocal texture, description of texture and the lowest part.

Allows you to isolate (solo) or mix together any combination of the 4 parts provided (tune plus 3 rhythm ostinatos). Use this app to support rehearsal towards a group or class ensemble performance. The Lilliburlero tune dates from Tudor times, but it could also be replaced with a live improvisation. The Tips & Hints button shows the music notation for each rhythm ostinato. Pupils can listen separately to each of the four melodic phrases from the Drunken Sailor. Then they can place them in order to recreate the piece (or place in their own order to create a new piece).
